Fake News Propaganda Against Marc Anthony - 1464 Words
Fake news is a current buzz phrase, a term that is fashionable in popular culture to describe the field of journalism today. Underpinned by negative connotations and widespread misunderstanding of the termââ¬â¢s meaning, the fake news of today is the so-called yellow journalism of yesterday (U.S. Diplomacy, n.d.). He then reportedly went on to say that ââ¬Å"someone within the D.C. government, Democratic National Committee or Clinton team is blocking the murder investigation from going forwardâ⬠(Bump, 2017). Rod Wheeler vehemently denies making these statements and demanded their removal from the story Fox News planned to run. The Fox reporter in question allegedly agreed to remove the false quotes but then later left them in the story at the demand of her superiors (Bump, 2017).
